iphone 6 usb cable only charging but not connect with windows 10 in laptop

Just spent some time on the phone with Apple support to get this resolved. Bit sad this was so hard to find.

Way too long and way too hard to get to the support backbone, but once I did fixed in a minute / easy as.

On your PC

Go to control panel, devices and printers.

At the bottom under "Unspecified Devices" right click your iPhone and select properties

Select the hardware tab, select properties again

On the General tab click Change Settings (needs admin rights)

Select the driver tab, select Update Driver

Instead of "Search Automatically" select "Browse my computer"

Browse to this location

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

Click next...

Follow the rest of the steps.

Mine came good just like that!
